Blown-in cellulose insulation is a non-toxic natural product made from at least 80% recovered, post-consumer paper fiber – recycled newsprint – that is treated with a nontoxic fire retardant. Because cellulose is two to three times denser than conventional fiberglass it is an excellent insulator. It’s so effective at limiting noise pollution the Federal Aviation Administration have approved it as an enhanced sound control material for homes located in the flight paths of our nation’s airports!
